iPad caricatures

I finally got myself the iPad2 and have really been enjoying it, aside from Netflix and face time and amazing games, it's a great tool for sketching, despite the fact that there is no pressure sensitivity.

I like that with the 3G iPad I can draw caricatures anywhere and email them to the customers wherever I'm at.

I've tried out a few drawing apps, and so far my favorite is Art Studio, it's got a lot of brushes and layers and is pretty intuitive, for someone doesn't have a lot of digital drawing experience.

Now another problem with drawing on the iPad is the stylus. Most are only about 3 inches long and have a baby finger sized tip. There are rumors of finer tips out there, however I'm pretty sure they 're false claims, that being said, I'd love to be proven wrong. I did find a pretty nice stylus called "the artists touch" it's bloody expensive, at about 48 euros, but it was designed by some Belgian caricaturists, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The length and weight is much better for drawing then the shorter styluses, plus it has a flashlight and laser pointer on it, which means endless hours of fun if you have cats.

So here is a caricature I've done of my buddy jeff meyer, caricaturist and tattoo artist. And an owl doodle. More to come!
