'34 Chevy

Verna, a wonderful lady commissioned this for her husbands 60th birthday. I grew up down the street from her so this was a really fun piece for me. Drawing the hot-rod was a fun challenge. This piece is 8x10, on toned canson paper, using markers and coloured pencils.

Some ladies

When Fred, my mentor is in town, I get to draw a lot. He comes up with ideas and says, you should draw this, or draw that. It's fun and inspiring because I know he loves the way I draw stuff and his excitement is infectious.

Lately I've been into retro pin up ladies, and rockabilly chicks. I love searching for just the right reference material. There are a lot of great tumblr sites out there dedicated to posting awesome photos of both those topics.
The first drawing was inspired by An artist I found on instagram named Glen Arthur, his IG name is glenarthurart do check him out. Fantastic artist.
